Nissan GT-R ECU Tuning & Remaps

NISSAN GT-R ECU OPTIONS & REMAPS

Auto Torque offers two forms of GTR retuning, Standard OEM ECU recalibrating using Ecutek and aftermarket standalone engine management systems such as Syvecs.

Auto Torques Tuning Suite supports EcuTek RaceROM. Please see the list below to see the RaceROM features that are available.

We can not only offer engine tuning on the GTR but also transmission ECU tuning.

RACEROM OVERVIEW – WHAT IS RACEROM?

RaceROM is a suite of feature enhancements available for OEM ECUs tuned with EcuTek tuning tools, which offers increased tuning & driving capabilities. RaceROM is available for specific ranges of engine management systems, including the Nissan GTR.

WHY ADD FEATURES TO THE STANDARD ECU?

Without question, the OEM ECU offers the best cold start, driveability and refinement when compared to aftermarket ECU hardware. However, many aftermarket ECUs provide extra (generally motorsport related) features, that many enthusiasts desire. Unfortunately, when replacing the standard ECU with an aftermarket ECU, the refinement of the standard ECU is often lost.

Now with EcuTek RaceROM, this compromise is no longer necessary. By way of a software upgrade to the standard ECU, RaceROM adds many custom calibration options to the standard OEM ECU, offering features beyond the standard fuelling, ignition and boost control, yet retaining its driveability, sophistication and fuel economy.

NEW ADVANCED TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM

Traction Control can play a vital role in the handling and dynamics of your GT-R. The OEM Nissan system is simply not suitable for higher than 600hp power and high level of wheel slip, it can be too intrusive harsh closing throttles or throwing an awd clutch overheat limp. Running in VDC-R mode can be more effective with stability control but can still suffer from the delayed response and throttles closing at the worst moments, sometimes dangerously so if in an overtaking situation. The driver is then faced with a 3rd option of turning the VDC off raising further the threshold for limp/throttle close but at the expense/risk of excessive wheel slip in many cases very high wheel slip causing tire wear, damage to drivetrain/FWD clutches.

The main principle behind slip based traction control is that a tyre provides the best load transfer when experiencing a small amount of slip. the simple way to look at it, is the ideal amount of slip is the one that gives the best result. As a simple guide for maximum straight-line acceleration in dry conditions, 10% slip is somewhere close to what we want, and for hard cornering, it’s closer to 2% and will vary between those depending on how hard the car is cornering, the surface, the tyre type etc.

SYVECS

We are also able to offer Syvces ECU’s and programming.

Our kits have been and are being used by some of the fastest GTR’s on the planet.

From stage 1 street cars to 3000+bhp drag cars, the Syvecs brand is being represented all over the globe.

This kit currently does not support the 2019 model GTR.

By simply pluging in the kit a whole new level of control is available, offering the following and more.

  • Live tuning of every aspect of the engine’s calibration, including signals sent to the TCM and 4WD
  • Adjustable Shift rpm and Speed lockout
  • Ability to select desired engine map, boost level, traction and launch control levels through steering wheel buttons
  • Fully adjustable Launch control with Anti-lag strategies and Ramp in Maps
  • Full Variable Valve Timing control
  • Flex Fuel control
  • Fully functional with every other Ecu on the Car
  • Closed loop Dual Lambda Control
  • Fully adjustable closed loop boost control with launch level adjustments and trims for turbo speed, air charge, engine coolant temp, exhaust gas temperatures etc
  • Monitor and trimming of exhaust gas temperatures
  • Built in data logging using a market leading analysis software of up to 8 hours, with data rates at up to 1000hz
  • Rolling Antilag / Pit lane limiter strategies, great for building boost on a roll
  • Antitheft and valet modes
  • Super fast connection via RJ45 Ethernet port for live tuning anywhere in the world or evenremotely if on track if connected to a wireless unit.
  • Adjustable traction control strategies based on lateral g, steering angle and/or individual wheel speed monitoring.
  • 4 programmable and selectable target slip maps. An immediate torque reduction can be applied by the ECU via ignition retard or a fuel cut.
  • Configurable Engine Safety Trips on all important parameters like oil temperature, oil pressure.
  • Fuel pump control of both main, and sub pumps, as well as Relative fuel pressure monitoring and limiting in the event of fuel pressure dropping on boost.
  • 4 different Pedal to Throttle Angle maps with multipliers for different parameters e.g. speed. Again adjustable via steering wheel buttons
  • Configurable individual cylinder closed loop knock control, to suit any cylinder modification with adjustments to frequency, windows for listening and gains for each cylinder. Ability to trigger full cylinder shutdown in severe knock conditions.
  • Ability to change torque levels or demand levels sent to 4wd unit and TCM ECU for changing of up shift and down shift points, clutch pressures and diff tightness.
  • Change torque reduction levels on shifts. Essential for very high power GTRs where themaximum reduction available via the stock ECU is not enough to prevent damage to components
  • Ability to change Torque ramp in after launch
  • Change throttle blip requests to match your torque band. Especially useful on oversized turbo installations.
  • Run up to 7bar map sensors
  • Control high or low impendence injectors
  • Control up to 12 injectors for high power installations where staged injection may be required
  • Change injector dead times based on voltage levels for proper control
  • Change injector end angle to ensure injection point is properly calibrated
  • Ability to fit any type of external sensor to monitor and trigger safety trips from anything from crank case pressure to damper position
  • Ability to use any size DBW throttle body e.g. Chevrolet LS7
  • Wet and Dry – Wet and Dry nitrous control with ability to drive solenoids directly and control n20 heaters via pressure monitoring
  • Ability to control any external vehicle features based on sensor inputs e.g. Adjustable rear wing linked to G force or exhaust control valves
